“As a high school coach of 34 years I’m very impressed with the thoroughness of Jim Curnal’s pitching video series. Coaches, parents and players of all levels can benefit from the videos. The premise of the series is throwing from an athletic position. Each video is extremely instructional, comprehensive and yet very easy to understand. All adjustments are based on playing catch and using drills to cement the changes needed. The best part for a coach or player is how quickly, effective and lasting change can take place. Two pitchers saw mechanical and more importantly command, velocity and movement results in less than a month. I’ve watched well over 40 pitching videos by the so called gurus and this is by far the best series available."

“Jim’s experience as a player and coach gives him a great foundation to teach pitchers, but it’s really his smarts that separates him from most. He understands pitching, and he understands the importance of being athletic. Jim’s video series, “The Athletic Pitcher” is a great way to introduce young pitchers of all ages to the art of pitching. In my opinion, his simple approach of “having a catch” enables the athlete to see and feel the motion and mimic the fundamental movements required to develop a fluid athletic throwing motion. From there, as demonstrated in the video series, a coach or parent can tweak things slowly, gently, and casually – moving the player towards a more comfortable and consistent delivery, which is repeatable and healthy."

“Jim Curnal’s video series “The Athletic Pitcher” covers all bases for a young pitcher. Jim’s program promotes arm care, teaches balance and the importance of all the body parts working in tandem for a successful and healthy pitcher. We are very grateful for Jim coming down and providing his expertise. Jim evaluated 20 of our pitchers and all of them have benefited by using his program. Jim’s advice will be passed onto our coaches and pitchers to come.”

“The Athletic Pitcher is a great program for any young pitcher to follow. The drills are a tremendous asset to help equip a young pitcher with the tools to stay healthy and to compete/perform at a high level on the field.
As a coach of a high school summer tournament program, I noticed a much fluid easier arm path as my pitchers learned to use their entire body. The biggest improvement, I noticed in this short period of time was their improved command, their ability to throw more strikes. I had a pitcher who was struggling to get through one inning due to a sore arm and inability to throw strikes. After using the program for a month he was throwing complete games and competing on the mound."

“I feel what we worked on is easy to follow and definitely makes a lot of sense The drills that you gave me were easy, helpful and understandable. I definitely feel more of pop and velocity on my fastball. My arm definitely feels better and I’m experiencing less elbow pain after throwing. As of now I’m definitely seeing a ton of improvement with my fastball and may command of pitches. Overall, I’m definitely seeing improvement in the little time we have worked together, I continue getting used to the adjustments in my throwing motion and I’m seeing great improvement.”

“What we work on makes sense, very easy to follow The drills are easy to do and very helpful. My arm feels stronger and is not as sore as it used to be after pitching. In the short period of time we have been working, in the games I have pitched I have better command, have gained some velocity, have a better, sharper break with my curve ball.”

“I saw more movement in his breaking ball and more command and confidence in the change up. His overall command improved, he was hitting his spots better towards the end of the summer, he improved a lot.’

“The drills are simple to follow and can be done anywhere, they’re very helpful, the adjustment are not hard to make, I do feel a difference with my arm path, being more relaxed with a better arm slot which allows me to get on top of the ball. I can feel the difference in using my entire body to throw vs just using my arm. Before working with you my arm and shoulder felt sore after pitching and it took 3 to 4 days to recover. Since we have been working this has cut down to about 1 to 2 days, my arm does not feel sore at all. I have much better Command, my strike ratio has improved allowing me pitch longer outings. My curve ball has seen a big improvement, a sharper break and I can now throw it for a strike when I need to. My max velocity has increased 3 MPH, since I started working with you."

“The Athletic Pitcher program has helped me so much. I was experiencing a lot of arm issues, as my arm constantly hurt when I threw, pain everywhere. I used the program, did the drills every day. My arm feels better and the pain is now gone. It doesn’t take long to see a clear difference. Just a couple of days of working the drills, I pitched one of the best games of my life, and it only went up from there. I encourage every pitcher to use Tap into TAP.”

“I felt the program really helped develop my pitching motion, getting myself even more comfortable throwing the baseball. The program taught me how to use my lower half which enabled me stay balanced and create a better arm path. It really helped me to be prepared mentally, to have a lot of confidence and be able to know that I can pitch against anyone. I really liked the program.”

“I noticed the command on my pitches, the success rate went up a lot. I noticed the break on my slider/slurve was a lot sharper. My Two-Seam started to jump a lot more. The tail I was getting was really pronounced.”
Alex P.
18 yr. old American Legion pitcher CT
“I caught Alex before our 1st Summer game, I noticed he was throwing significantly harder, he had more break on his slider, he was hitting his spots, he was setting me up left and right. The results were just clear.”
Ryan B.
Alex’s American Legion catcher
"The adjustments I made in my throwing motion help me to improve my lower half ball timing. By adjusting my leg lift, learning to go to the target and creating a more relaxed arm path, I was able to create more balance and stability throughout my throwing motion which enabled be to use my lower half more effectively "
I noticed the following results
1. My command has improved - my strike ratio has gone up, my pitches are moving crisper. I now feel I can throw any pitch in any count
2. My arm wasn’t nearly as sore as it used to be when I finished pitching, my arm recovered much quicker and was ready to use earlier than before.
3. After making the adjustments, my throwing motion feels smoother and I am throwing harder.
